Large screen entertainment need not be confined to one room with the XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser. The projector features a built-in battery, a built-in laser light source, built-in Google TV, Harman Kardon audio and a 360° adjustable stand, along with its compact design, making it versatile for home movie nights, outdoor viewing, travel and casual gatherings.
The MoGo 4 Laser is an XGIMI portable projector, dedicated to the concept of image quality and mobility. It is equipped with triple laser technology, 550 ISO lumens and native 1920 × 1080 resolution. The projector’s size ranges from 40 to 200 inches, making it suitable for various scales of viewing.
What Is the XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser?
XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser is a portable projector, based on the DLP display technology and the laser light source. The dimensions of 8.2×3.8×3.8 inches and a weight of 2.9 pounds make it easier to move than a traditional home cinema projector.
The MoGo 4 Laser projector is also designed to be free of a wall outlet. It has a 71.28Wh battery that should last up to 2.5 hours of video in Eco Mode or up to 6 hours of music in Eco Mode. The PowerBase Stand is also offered by XGIMI that can increase the viewing time up to five hours. This has made the XGIMI MoGo 4 family applicable to those looking for a small display to fit in one room and relocate to another.
Triple Laser Projection and Image Quality
The most notable visual difference between the MoGo 4 Laser and the earlier models is its triple laser projector design. XGIMI specifies 550 ISO lumens, a 1920 × 1080 resolution, 110% BT.2020 color gamut, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The triple laser system puts RGB triple laser projector on a unique place in XGIMI’s portable category. The company claims it can create brighter whites, darker blacks and greater color clarity than traditional LED projection.
The projector’s viewing size is 40 to 200 inches, which can be expanded to a larger screen as per user’s requirement, and for larger viewing, XGIMI has recommended 120 inch viewing. The 16:9 aspect ratio is also compatible with standard movie and streaming material.

A Battery Powered Projector for Flexible Viewing
A major advantage of the battery powered projector design is that entertainment does not have to depend on a fixed installation. The built in battery allows the MoGo 4 Laser to operate away from a traditional power outlet for a limited viewing session. This makes it suitable as a projector for outdoor movies, especially for short movie sessions, gatherings, or relaxed viewing in suitable conditions. It can also work as a projector for camping when a suitable power arrangement and viewing environment are available.
The projector can be powered via 3 power methods. Its internal battery provides up to 2.5 hours of video playback in Eco Mode, the optional PowerBase Stand can provide up to five hours of playtime, and 65W power bank support provides another charging option. The portability is also in its physical design. Though it weighs just 1.32 kg, the MoGo 4 Laser is a small portable projector that still offers the standard connectivity and entertainment functionality of a smart projector.
Google TV and Built In Entertainment
The XGIMI smart projector solution is evident in its built-in Google TV platform. Google TV and licensed Netflix are included in the MoGo 4 Laser as well as Prime Video and access to other applications. XGIMI claims to offer over 10,000 apps and 800+ free channels.
This decreases the necessity of extra streaming devices. The XGIMI home projector can be powered on by a user, plugged into an appropriate network, and provide supported entertainment via the projector. This is significant for a portable product since it can be helpful to bring along a projector, but if a few other devices are needed for simple streaming, then that helps little. The integrated Google TV system has all the major entertainment capabilities inside the MoGo 4 Laser. d Google TV system keeps the main entertainment functions inside the MoGo 4 Laser itself.
Automatic Setup for Different Spaces
A compact home projector needs to be easy to position because it may be used in different locations. To tackle this, the MoGo 4 Laser features XGIMI’s Intelligent Screen Adaptation technology. Uninterrupted auto keystone correction and uninterrupted autofocus is included in the system. These functions automatically correct the projected image when the projector is moved, which can help ensure that an accurate image is created without having to manually correct each set.
The built-in stand provides additional versatility. It allows 360° adjustment – the projector can be tilted to various angles and can be used to project from floor to ceiling. These are all listed projection methods, which contains the front, rear, front ceiling and rear ceiling.
Sound From Harman Kardon
The MoGo 4 Laser does not rely entirely on external speakers for everyday entertainment. It uses dual 6W Harman Kardon speakers and supports Dolby Audio. This makes the XGIMI projector more self contained for casual movie watching, music playback, and social gatherings. The built in audio system also works alongside the projector’s Ambient Light Mode, which provides eight selectable colors.
The projector additionally includes four magnetic creative filters. These include Sunset, Lunar, Dreamscape, and Ripple filters, giving the MoGo 4 Laser a visual ambient feature beyond conventional projection.
Connectivity and Everyday Use
The XGIMI portable projector includes the connections needed for both wireless and wired use. It supports dual band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI with ARC, USB, and USB Type C charging. DLNA and GoogleCast are also supported for compatible mirroring requirements.
Gaming is another possible use. XGIMI lists 1080p at 60Hz with game mode latency of up to 20ms when auto keystone is off, increasing to up to 56ms with auto keystone enabled. This gives the projector a defined secondary role for casual gaming alongside movies and streaming.
Who Is the MoGo 4 Laser For?
The MoGo 4 Laser is suited to users who value mobility as much as projection quality. Its combination of triple laser projection, battery operation, Google TV, integrated audio, and automatic image adjustment gives it a broader use case than a projector designed solely for permanent home installation.
It can suit several practical scenarios:
- Home movie nights without a fixed projector installation
- Outdoor movie sessions in suitable environments
- Camping and portable entertainment
- Streaming through Google TV and licensed Netflix
- Music playback through Harman Kardon speakers
For buyers specifically looking for a 1080p laser projector, the MoGo 4 Laser also offers a combination of native Full HD resolution and portable hardware that is uncommon in larger fixed-format projectors.
Final Thoughts
The XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser projector brings several separate entertainment functions into a compact device. Its triple laser system produces 550 ISO lumens at 1080p, the battery provides up to 2.5 hours of Eco Mode video playback, and Google TV with licensed Netflix provides direct access to supported streaming content. Its 360° adjustable stand, automatic focus and keystone correction, Harman Kardon speakers, wireless connectivity, and magnetic creative filters further expand how the projector can be used.
For someone searching for a portable projector that can move from a living room to an outdoor viewing setup, the XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser offers a clearly defined combination of portability, projection technology, built in entertainment, and battery powered operation.
